Our March 9th luncheon will feature a program by David Pierce, the President of The Gordon House Board of Directors. We are happy to welcome Mr. Pierce who is very knowledgeable about The Gordon House not only due to his position on the Board but he has served as a docent there since 2017. The Gordon House, now on the property of the Oregon Gardens in Silverton, is the only Frank Lloyd built home in Oregon. Mr. Wright was a famous architect and his designs were innovative and one of a kind. Therefore each one is a treasure. Residents of Charbonneau should be particularly interested in the Gordon House because it was originally built and lived in right here. Mr. Pierce is very excited to come to tell the CWA about the building, the history, the move and preservation of this special house.
It’s Party Time will be the caterer that day and we will enjoy a “Lite Italian” luncheon of Caprese salad, Lemon-Garlic marinated grilled chicken, Pasta Alfredo and Breadsticks. Wine will be included and we will have dessert. The cost is $32/members and $37/non members. The sign up book is in the closet of the Activity Center and checks, made out to CWA, should be placed in the lockbox on the wall of the closet. The Deadline is Noon on Tuesday, March 3.
We hope you can join us. The fellowship of our members is what makes CWA important and worthwhile.
