Don’t forget to sign up for the October 12 CWA Luncheon. The deadline is next Tuesday, October 6, at noon. The sign-up book is in the Activity Center closet and your check should be placed in the CWA lockbox on the wall just inside the closet door.
The program, Women Make “Scents”, will be presented by Margeaux Lazar from the Perfume House in Portland. She will speak about the history of fragrance, the women inspired by fragrance and their influence in the perfume industry. The audience will be able to smell samples of the different scents that mark a specific time in history. Not only does fragrance smell pretty, but creating fragrance is both art and science. The luncheon will be catered by It’s Party Time and the cost is $32/members and $37/non-members. The menu includes pork tenderloin, potatoes, vegetables, rolls and a light dessert. Coffee will be served. The luncheon will be held in the Dining Room of the Event Center starting at 11:30 am.
We were so pleased to have a good number of new members join after our August Happy Hour. Several attended the September luncheon and we hope to see more of you, plus our returning members this coming month. If you are hesitant to come alone, CWA can arrange for one of our members to greet you at the sign-in table and then you can sit with her.
