I know it is hard to think ahead in December, but some of you might want to sign up early for the January lunchon especially if you are traveling and returning after New Year’s Day.  The date for our monthly luncheon is Monday, January 12.  The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, January 6 at Noon.  It’s Party Time will cater a cozy warm lunch of sirloin tips, mashed potatoes, vegetable and salad bar.  We will have dessert, and wine and non-alcoholic sparkly beverage is included as well as coffee.  The location is The Dining Room of The Clubhouse at 11:30 am.

Our speaker will be Leah Rahman from the Clackamas County Master Gardner Association.  Her topic will be  “The Creaky Gardner — Tools and Tips for Gardening as We Age”.  I am sure we can all relate to being a bit “creaky”.  But, it is good for us mentally and physically to get out in nature at bit and get our hands in some dirt.  So, whether you have a yard, a patio, a courtyard or some containers there will be some tips to make your outdoor time more enjoyable.  The Master Gardener program is quite rigorous and they provide numerous services to the community.  It will be nice to hear about that also.  So, don’t stay home watching the rain.  Dash through the raindrops and spend some time with your friends and neighbors and enjoy a nice luncheon.
