The  deadline for sign-ups for the February luncheon is fast approaching.  This coming Tuesday will be February 2 (already!) and the deadline is 12 noon that day.  This is a vey special event and we welcome men to attend as a guest of a member.  The presenter is Joan Freed, a professional actress and singer,  who will entertain and inspire us with stories and songs from WWII. This is a collection of tales and tunes based on her father’s WWII experiences.  It will be held in the Clubhouse Dining Room at 11:30.  A piano player will accompany Joan and the program will be an hour long.  You will find that it being a bit longer is well worth it.  On Veteran’s Day she presented this program  at the Lakewood Theater.  While there are few of us left who were alive during WWII, many of us grew up in the aftermath listening to the stories of that time and perhaps even living with the losses among family and friends.  It will be an enjoyable and inspiring program.

The lunch will be catered by G – Gourmet and the menu consists of Lasagna, salad bar and tiramisu.  The cost is $32.00 for members and $37.00 for non-members and guests.  Make checks payable to CWA and put them in the CWA lockbox in the Activity Center Closet.
